From: peter manera <NYU.MANERA@CU20B.ARPA> This must be truly basic and I'm just not putting something together. A Fortran program has been INSTALLed /PRIV=(BYPASS,SYSPRV). It is trying to write into an empty file with a different UIC than the process running the program. (The process is in the same group, however.) The protection on both the file and the file's directory is S:RWED,O:RWED,G,W, but the program blows up for insufficient privilege. Change the UIC on the file to that of the process and no problem. We're at 3.7 VMS. Any ideas? Peter -------
