To update Nate's (etan) information a little, at last report (12:00 PM, CDT, July 24) the death toll was up to 9, with seven people still missing. I live approximately 3 miles north of the site, and experienced the same sensations Nate did. Fortunately, my home faces west, and the main shock wave was traveling north at that point, so no damage was incurred! We spoke with people living in an apartment complex less than one mile from the blast (to the northwest), and they lost every window on the south and east sides of the building. The main shock wave seemed to be to the west and southwest, breaking plate glass windows in a shopping center in Joliet, nine miles away! -- Ron Lewen ....ihnp4!tellab1!rcl <----------------------------------------------------------------> Th...th...th...th...that's all, folks!
