How can I increase the file table size on my RS/6000? It looks like it's set to 328 no matter how many users my system is allowed to have logged in. This is causing me serious troubles, so direct mail is desired. I'll be calling IBM in the meantime... -John

I'll > be calling IBM in the meantime... Hmm... According to IBM what I was looking at wasn't what I thought it was -- it turns out to be a high-water mark of how many files were open at one time. The kernel has a limit of about 2000 open files at a time... My troubles lie elsewhere -- though I still don't know where... -John
