From: Alex Woo <woo@AMES-NAS.ARPA> We recently installed VMS 4.1 on one of our VAX's, only to find that the performance degraded dramatically. The local experts tell us that the machine now needs more than 4 MBytes of memory. Unfortunately our old memory controller won't handle any more memory even if we could afford it. Has anyone had a similar experience? Do you really need more memory or is this operating system just a lot slower? Alex Woo woo@ames-nas
