The National AIX Users' Group has been founded to provide such a forum. Meetings to kickoff the first National AIX - RISC System/6000 User Group will be held within major high tech centers including Boston, Austin and San Francisco (Silicon Valley). The first of these meetings will take place in Boston, MA and Austin, TX on May 8th. Planned activities for this non-profit organization include educational seminars, support services, meetings with IBM representatives and a national AIX general members conference. Meetings are scheduled to occur every other month. Both corporate, individual and educational memberships are available. Admission to the inaugural meeting will be free. The groups activities will be specifically targeted for users currently running or porting to AIX as well as OEMs, VARs, and ISVs considering an AIX product strategy.
