I have an RS6000/530 running 3004. If the power goes out or if you power up the unit it does not allow telnets or rlogins. If you do an /etc/reboot on the system everything works right. All required processed seem to be running both after power up and after reboot. Has anyone ever had this happen? Is there a solution? Is this just another IBM "feature"? ############################################################################## The above opinions are my own. Not the way it's supposed to work, and certainly not the way it worked on my 3003 or works on my current 3005 systems... -- +-----All Views Expressed Are My Own And Are Not Necessarily Shared By------+ +------------------------------My Employer----------------------------------+ + Ronald S. No, I think we could safely say that almost any vendor's system will not let you telnet to it when it's powered off :-} :-}. Sorry, couldn't resist :-}!
