[comp.unix.aix] King Kong vs Godzilla

cavrak@uvm.edu (Steve Cavrak) (06/27/91)

Hi ! We've just installed an R6000/530 and are getting our feet wet.
I'm trying to track down some common things ... such as cpu time
routines.

What is the AIX/6000 equivalent of Etime (SunOS) or Second (VMS) ?

What is the clock resolution for the standard times functions ?

Where do they hide the Msec clock ?

(Why does "man -k time" not return anything ?!)

Thanks
Steve

Because you didn't build the "apropos" database. A "catman -w" will
create it (note - it's not immediate, takes quiet a while to run).
