A question about a unique? display adaptor/interface. I read the marketing literature on the WY-700, monochrome, display, graphics, subsystem. With a high resolution of 1280 X 800 pixel it seems just the ticket for my CAD package. I have been using CGA with a Hercules adaptor and colour monitor. I was willing to sacrifice colour for the high resolution. Installed everything and worked first time. Ran demo program and was much impressed with the drawings. I then started to run the setup for my CAD program to find out which display driver was compatible. You guessed it, the only driver I could run was CGA. The CAD package is Pro-Design II which I bought in New York about 7 years ago. The documentation was damaged in shipment over and I cant read the name of the company that wrote the package. I had talked to them some years back about an HP laser jet printer driver and they weren't very helpful. I have now read the documentation for the WY-700 subsystem and it is made clear that it will only run in CGA mode as standard. They included a set of drivers for applications packages, 4 as I recall, and Pro-Design wasn't one of them. I do, however, have the best looking Lotus 1-2-3 I have ever seen, unfortunately I only use it 3 or 4 times a year. Two questions I currently have; 1) Is there anyone out there who has drivers for specific applications packages for WY-700 subsystems??? 2) Is there any 'GENERIC' driver, for example one that will make this thing appear to the system as a VGA subsystem??? Thanks for any assistance; Is anyone from Wyse listening ??? Nice moniter but I can't afford AUTOCAD.
