UK Agroforestry Discussion Forum - May 1990 - Aberdeen Below-ground interactions Group The below-ground interactions group of the forum will hold a meeting in conjunction with the main forum meeting sometime in May next year in Aberdeen. William Eason (WPBS) is the convenor and I will be the local organiser. It would be useful to get some idea of what those interested parties would like to see and hear and when the meeting should be held (ie. before/after the forum meeting), and how long do we need (1 day, 1 night, 1 minute). It is important to decide this because we all have limited travel money and so we must use our time most efficiently. Possible formats include Methodology - Soil moisture techniques - Neutron moisture meters Time domain reflectometry Micro and mini-rhizotrons for root studies. Research reports- latest findings and problems encountered from the various research groups. Some of the methodolgy can be seen on the field visits associated with the main meeting but at MLURI/NOSCA we could have workshops on particular techniques if the group desired and time allowed. Therefore lets get some feedback and discussion and start using our bulletin board.
