From: Richard Garland <OC.GARLAND@CU20B.ARPA> I have 2 queries: We have a microVAX running microVMS V4.1. It is on DECnet (Ethernet). When I do show Device, the disks come out with the node name in front like a cluster disk, thus: CUCHMU$DUA0 online etc. CUCHMU$DUA1 etc. question: What SYSGEN or other parameter makes it display things like this? Before I did anything it was coming out "SALONE$DUA0" and I found a sysgen parameter SCSNODE which I changed to be the DECnet node name like the book said. The disks on our 780 have no such prefix. What's happening? Other question: Disks on all my machines (micro and macroVAXes) are marked "available to cluster" when I do SHOW VOLUME. What is this? There is no MSCP server running. We have no cluster. Is this normal? Can I (should I) turn it off? Thanks. Rg -------
