From: TJP%PHOBOS%phobos@cit-hamlet.arpa What's a PTY, and why should I feel deprived if I don't have one?

From: Richard Garland <OC.GARLAND@CU20B.ARPA> Due to the generosity of Kevin Corroso I have placed on-line here the source to the PTY driver that was submitted to the recent DECUS tape. There are 2 versions, the one called OLD_PTYDRIVER.MAR is simply a VMS V4.0 update of the PTY driver submitted by Gary Grebus on the Spring '84 DECUS tape. The other version is Kevin's improved version which implements the terminal hangup function and a few other niceties. Kevin has a third one comming he says. Note: there are references in the documentation file to other files such as the PHOTO program. These are on the Spring '84 DECUS tape and are not here. If you have them, they should still work. The files are imbedded in a single script file called PTY.COM. Copy this file to a V4.x VMS system and type "@PTY" and the files will be placed in your default directory. The file is located: CU20B::<Oc.Garland>PTY.COM Access is available via ANONYMOUS FTP (no prime time please!) using the usual conventions. Thanks to Kevin for making this available. Rg -------
