[fa.info-vax] LHDH on 750?

info-vax@ucbvax.ARPA (06/04/85)

From: mark@umd-markssun.ARPA (Mark Weiser)

We recently tried to move our LHDH box from ACC form our 780 to our 750.
We kept getting unibus errors. We have two unibi on this 750, and we
tried the LHDH on both. One unibus has only the uda50/ra81. The other
unibus has a DH, a DMF32, an interlan ethernet controller and a tu80.
Thanks for any help.

I suppose you remembered how important it is to be very careful when
inserting UNIBUS cables into the back of the LHDH-11. Also, never
operate it with cables plugged in, without the lid on.

Yes, we know. This same LHDH works fine on our 780 via a long unibus
extender. It in fact physically sits next to a 750, but we can't get
it to work with that 750, so far.

Mark,
I see you have (another) new machine. What fun!
We're doing some work over at DTNSRDC. They have an LHDH working
fine on both dtix (nalcon) and NEMS, both 750's. Give me a call
to talk about your problem, or call them if you've already got a
contact there. Note the new address & telephone number (still
local to U MD).
