DECOLONIZATION COMMITTEE HEARS VIEWS: NAMIBIA
In Press Release GA/COL/2697 of 11 August, the last paragraph of page 2
concerning information on the decolonization activities of the specialized
agencies and other United Nations-affiliated organizations should read:
Both international financial institutions -- the World Bank and the
International Monetary Fund (IMF) -- reported that no new loans had been made
to South Africa. The World Bank stated that it had undertaken economic
missions to expedite Bank support for countries which were not members of the
Bank, as well as territories in advance of independence, when such countries
and territories had expressed interest in World Bank membership.
