DOD: U.S. AND VIETNAM OFFICIALS HOLD TALKS
POW/MIA specialists from the United States and the Socialist
Republic of Vietnam will hold technical meetings in Hanoi,
August 28-29, 1989.
This is the latest in the series of technical meetings
aimed at expanding the level of cooperation between the U.S. and
the S.R.V. to resolve the POW/MIA issue. The last technical
meeting was in May 1989.
The U.S. team will be led by Lieutenant Colonel Joe Harvey,
Commander of the Joint Casualty Resolution Center (JCRC) in
Hawaii. Other members of the team are technical experts on the
POW/MIA issue and include Lt. Col. Johnie Webb, Commander of the
U.S. Army Central Identification Laboratory in Hawaii.
