PRESIDENT BUSH OF UNITED STATES TO ADDRESS ASSEMBLY MONDAY

George Bush, President of the United States, will visit United
Nations Headquarters on Monday, 25 September, to address the
General Assembly and meet with Secretary-General Javier Perez de
Cuellar.
The President of the United States will arrive with his party,
including Mrs. Barbara Bush, at 11:20 a.m. at the Delegates
Entrance, where they will be received by the Secretary-General
and Mrs. Perez de Cuellar. The President and Mrs. Bush,
accompanied by the Secretary-General and Mrs. Perez de Cuellar,
will proceed to room GA-200, at which time Mrs. Bush and Mrs.
Perez de Cuellar will be escorted by the wife of the Chief of
Protocol to their seats in the General Assembly Hall. The
President and the Secretary-General will then meet briefly in
the office of the Secretary-General.
At 11:50 a.m., following a brief meeting with the President of
the General Assembly, President Bush will address the General
Assembly.
At 12:10 p.m., after his address, President Bush will be
accompanied by the President of the General Assembly and the
Secretary-General to room GA-200 and from there to the West
Foyer, where President Bush will have a meeting with the
Secretary-General.
While the President confers with the Secretary-General, Mrs.
Bush, accompanied by Mrs. Perez de Cuellar and escorted by the
wife of the Chief of Protocol, will proceed to the first floor
and leave Headquarters at the Delegates Entrance.
At 12:50 p.m., after his meeting with the Secretary-General,
President Bush will depart from Headquarters at the Delegates
Entrance.
