From: Douglas M. Olson <dolson@USC-ECLB.ARPA> I'm not running VMS V4.x yet but have been asked to pass on a question for friends who do but can't talk to net-land; Seems that the interrupt characters (CTRL/Y, CTRL/O, etc) don't just perform a function, they also echo a cute little reverse video message to the screen. This tends to blow away some devices they had been treating (for convenience of interface) as terminals, in particular some souped-up graphics devices. Is there a reasonable way to disable that echo? Thanks- Doug -------

From: *Hobbit* <AWalker@RUTGERS.ARPA> Yeah, I thought those cute little reverse video frobs looked very BigBlueish, and was thankful to find a pointer to sys$examples:sysgttstr.msg in the doc for SYSGEN, yet! So I fixed everything back to a simple ^Y, ^C, and ^Z like it shoulda been in the first place. But while it lasted, it was *highly* amusing. _H* -------
