The week before the ECE following up conference on the UN report Our
Comon Future in Bergen, Norway in the beginning of May 1990 there will be
a big official youth conference organized by the secretariat of the conference
and the All European Framework of Youth and Student Cooperation (AEYSC).
Out of 100 delegates 3 (!) are supposed to come from USA and 2 from Canada.
1. We look for green (youth) organizations to nominate environmentalists for
the conference. If not they (AEYSC) will pick out some stupid ones here from
Europe.
2. We in EYFA tried to protest on this European "coup", but without
sucess. Some (young) one want to fight for the rights of US in ECE,
please lett us know !
There is of course a lot more to tell about this official youth NGO meeting
and why we should not take it too serious, but still this is the only
official platform for representatives of youth NGO to speak out about
their thoughts on the Brundtland report.
On the other hand EYFA in cooperation with other organisations is
organising the parallel conference. Which also takes place in Bergen,
parallel with the minister conference and therefore everybody is welcome
OF COURSE.
