UN NOTE TO CORRESPONDENTS

     KING OF SWAZILAND TO PAY THREE-DAY VISIT TO HEADQUARTERS

     (Based on information received from the Protocol and Liaison
     Service.)

     King Mswati III of Swaziland will arrive at Headquarters on
     Tuesday, 10October, for a three-day visit during which he will
     address the General Assembly and attend a diplomatic reception
     in his and the King of Lesotho's honour.

     At 6 p.m. on Tuesday, King Mswati will be received at the
     Delegates Entrance, then proceed to room GA-200 to join King
     Motlotlehi Moshoeshoe II of Lesotho.  The two monarchs will then
     attend to the Secretary General's reception in their honour in
     the Indonesian Lounge.  After the reception, the King will leave
     Headquarters by the Delegates Entrance.

     King Mswati will return to Headquarters on Thursday, 12 October,
     to address the General Assembly.  At 9:45 a.m., he will be
     received by the Secretary-General at the Delegates Entrance,
     they then will confer in the Secretary-General's office on the
     thirty-eighth floor.  The King will visit Assembly President
     Joseph N. Garba (Nigeria) in room GA-200 and then address the
     General Assembly.  After his speech, King Mswati will go to room
     GA-200 where the Secretary-General and General Assembly
     President will take leave of him.  The King will then be greeted
     by head of delegations and Permanent Representatives in the West
     Foyer and will depart from the building by the Delegates
     Entrance.
