The new ICR hardware request software sends back mail saying
that the request has been received and giving a reference
number which we are requested to use when talking to ICR
hardware personnel. This acknowledgement does not however
include any information which can be used to identify which
request the reference number is for. Perhaps some part of
the request could be included or a user-reference field can
be created and included.
I know that this sort of thing should have been pointed out
before the new version was created but it is something which
you only notice once you start using it.
