From: RJ White <rjwhite> A while ago, I disabled anonymous uucp dial-ups for 2 main reasons. I was pissed off with dorks trying to break into our system, and I was concerned about dorks calling up as someone else and grabbing their mail, news, files, whatever. But having anonymous uucp would be nice and save me lotsa work trying to send stuff to people. So now Ive beat on lotsa stuff so if anyone calls us up on our non-passwd'ed uucp account, they magically end up as site 'jqpublic', which only has access to /usr/spool/uucppublic/pub stuff, and we dont have a connection to a site 'jqpublic' so they cant grab anyones stuff. on math for testing.
