[uw.mfcf.software] New icr-hardware-request again

accwai@maytag.waterloo.edu (Andy Wai) (09/15/89)

Further improved icr-hardware-request to handle local blind carbon
copy list. New version installed everywhere, except for vlsi which
is currently down. On a few machines, you may have to wait for the
next xh-cronjob to get the command. New man page created for the
package, but rmand won't look at it until the next xh-cronjob.

Andy

P.S. No time for the default stuff, sorry.

I guess that means we all grab the new one and tailor it to fill in the
standard blanks.

No, you write a trivial sed script "fixicr" that modifies the existing
form and adds the stuff you need and you type 1G!Gfixicr in vi every time
you submit a new request. In fact, maybe you could get MFCF to look
at an env variable, ICRHARDWAREQUESTPROG and run the form through that
program before starting up your editor. Then it would be automatic.
