[uw.mfcf.software] Orchid's cron restarted.

From: "Bill Ince [MFCF]" <wcwince>

Orchid's cron was spinning,
eating CPU and doing several thousand system calls a second
(if vmstat is to be believed).
Stopped it, and then tried gcore on it.
Gcore hung (couldn't get out of it).
Logged in again, and tried to gcore again
but it said no (because the other gcore was still running).
Tried shooting cron, and it wouldn't die.
Same for the stuck gcore.
Tried starting a new cron, and it silently didn't
(it knows about the old cron).
Mv'd /var/spool/cron/FIFO away and tried again.
Cron restarted.
This one doesn't seem to be spinning (yet).
