I would like to propose a new group, "rec.holography", whose
charter would be somewhat as follows:
rec.holography
purpose: to discuss all aspects of the faciniating field of holography,
both from a professional view, and that of the hobbyist.
Topics would most certainly include (but not be limited to:)
What is a hologram?
Where can I get or see a hologram?
Where are the upcoming holography art shows (nationwide)?
How do I make a hologram?
Where can I buy holography supplies?
What holography journals are available?
What are some of the latest techniques?
other topics (more technical):
exposure techniques
processing (chemical) techniques
results of testing new methods
discussions of the field of holography-- where it is headed
copyright issues of holographic images
If I understand the new group policy, this goes up for discussion in
"news.groups", until a vote is called for (by me?). I would like to
hear your ideas! Additionally, I want suggestions for a group
name, as "rec.arts.holography" and possibily "sci.holography" are also
possibilities....
Well, what do you all think?
