Recently a collection of sites have decided for various reasons to discontinue carrying the newsgroups misc.* If you are at a site that does not carry misc.* newsgroups and you can not change your sysop's mind as to the need to carry a newsgroup about emergency services, and you are interested in the emergency services, (ie. the misc.emerg-services newsgroup) you may still read a digest of that group by subscribing to the emergency services mailing list. You will receive mailings that consists of articles from the newsgroup. In addition to being able to read misc.emerg-services, you may still post to misc.emerg-services by sending your postings to emergency services by mail.
