From: <PMANERA%NYBVX1.BITNET@WISCVM.ARPA> We installed an LN01S today, and I've spent quite a bit of time trying to run SAS plots against it in Tektronix 1010/1014 mode. I've finally gotten all to work (no thanks to DEC's documentation on the LN01S - it's the worst I've ever seen) but in an odd way. If I allocate it to myself I'm able to use COPY to throw a file at it with the correct ESC sequences to put it into Tektronix compatibility mode, print the output stream from my SAS program, and then reset it back to the state it was in prior to putting it into Tek mode. But if I spool it and let the queue manager take care of the SAME file, it goes into Tek mode, scrambles the plot into shambles, then resets it and life goes on, but the plot is NG. The printer is SET/PRINTALL, of course, or the COPY would not work. It seems that someplace between PRINT and printing, something nasty happens to the file. Is there anything obvious? Thanks, Peter Manera - NYU PS - On the problem of a few weeks ago with DISKQUOTA vs DIR/SIZE, see the next message.
