The group news.lists.ps-maps (moderated) passes, 119 to 11.
Almost everyone put the group name and their vote in the subject line,
which made filing the mail messages trivial. Thanks. Very few people
made other comments -- they're summarized below.
I found one thing very interesting: I didn't much care whether the group
got created or not, but every time I got a NO vote I wanted to ask why,
and convince the person to change their mind. Perhaps we should consider
changing the guidelines so that the person proposing the group doesn't
take the votes?

I would have preferred news.ps-maps since a map isn't a list

A group for just the postscript maps is a bit extravagant; I'd prefer
a simple statstics group for all such information (including the maps,
both group readership summaries, etc).

I still think it should be called news.list.maps
I would, honestly, rather have had avoided "lists", since they are not
lists, they are maps. I would have preferred news.maps.postscript or
news.ps-maps
I liked this name best of all BTW.
I thought the "ps-" part unnecessary.
