I put forth the idea of comp.periphs.scsi about a month ago on comp.periphs and a few other groups. Reaction to the idea was almost entirely positive, reaction to the name was pretty good. A question arose to whether it wouldn't be better to have a comp.bus.<name-your-bus>, not a bad idea for future consideration. So I'd like to call for votes on comp.periphs.scsi. Please mail votes to To: emv@math.lsa.umich.edu with the header Subject: YES vote on comp.periphs.scsi or Subject: NO vote on comp.periphs.scsi I'll collect these, tabluate them, and let you know what the results are within the month. I'll also send out requests for votes to several other groups (the comp.*.hardware, several comp.sys.* groups, comp.periphs etc) as I notice the need. This is a mass acknowlegement of votes on comp.periphs.scsi, which was called for a vote on 9 Feb 90. I count 149 votes at this point. Reaction so far has been generally positive. Votes may be mailed to emv@math.lsa.umich.edu with the Subject: YES vote on comp.periphs.scsi or NO vote on comp.periphs.scsi Reminders about the vote will go out to appropriate groups (comp.sys groups, comp.sys.*.hardware, comp.periphs).
