[comp.sys.mips] MIPS object file format and symbol table format

I am porting an incremental linker (inclink) to the PMAX.  The
only documentation I have is an April 1988 version of the "MIPS
Assembly Language Programmer's Guide" which I believe is incomplete
and also inadequate for a link editor writer.

Does anyone know how I can get hold of a more recent version of
the Guide?  Are there more detailed documentation out there that
deals with the MIPS object file format and symbol table format?
Better still, are there experts out there that can help me
understand the formats?  Thanks.
