I've installed RISC/os 4.01 and am trying to get uugetty to work properly. I've finally found a combination of terminal characteristics for gettydefs that allows me to at least log in but once I do, I can't seem to get newlines to be output as newline/carriage-return. Also, when uugetty owns the line (in this case, a M/120-5 on a digiboard port), I can't seem to get it to work with uucp. Once I disabled uugetty ("off" in the appropriate field of inittab), I still couldn't. Move the identical line to tty3 (a duart port), and uucp works fine but uugetty will not even do what it had before. Help, please! Does ANYONE have uugetty working properly on RISC/os?

I could not email you due to unknown cdword host, so had to follow up. I don't know how relevant this is to your case, but release notes 4.10 mentions bug#4790: uugetty requires even parity. -- ___________________________________________________________________ Zdenko Tomasic, UWM, Chem.
