[comp.sys.mips] setting terminal types

hartzell@boulder.Colorado.EDU (George Hartzell) (08/31/89)

I am trying to figure out how to tell the system what types of
terminals are on my serial ports. On bsd systems I would put this
info in /etc/ttytype or /etc/ttys (4.2 or 4.3...). It seems like I
need to put it in /etc/inittab but according to the getty man page
there are a limited number of terminal types that are valid. There is
a file called /etc/ttytype but I haven't been able find any mention of
it in the man pages.
