Hi Netters :
I have what is really an X-Windows question, but since I'm running
on an MIPS RS 2030 (RISC/os 4.10 & RISCwindows 3.0), I thought I would
post this here...
I'm attempting to send a "ButtonPress" event from one X-client to another
running on the same server using "XSendEvent". Specifically, I want
the other client to see a simulated mouse-button press event. I've been able
to have "the other client" successfully send this event to itself, so I
believe that the target client for this event is ok. The problem is when
I attempt to send this event from another client "XSendEvent" fails.
Doing a "XGetErrorText" immediately after the failure returns the message :
"BadRequest, invalid request code or no such operation"
Since I'm relatively nw to X-windows and I still haven't received my
workstation docs yet, I'm hoping someone out there has encountered this before
and can fill me fill on what to try next. Or perhaps an X-guru out there
listening has some ideas..?
Many Thanks in advance.
