Maybe you did not get the derogatory impression of the posting i was refering 
too, by stating that CDC was stupid for using 6bits instead of 8. A valid 
rebuttal regardless of your opinion. You should direct your comments to the 
original posting.

CDC is not struggling to stay "in", if you have been following comp.sys.cdc you 
would have found some interesting points regarding the MIPS agreement and the 
new CDC Supermainframes the CYBER 2000's, which will keep CDC on the leading 
edge.
