Using f77 version 2.0 we have not been able to lock a file when we open it. These is a SHARED option to allow other programs to read the file but the files it seems are always in SHARED. How can we specify that we want the file locked to other users ? Pierre Laporte {attcan,mcgill-vision,telly}!sobeco!laporte

The SHARED option is a no-op provided for compatibility with VMS source decks. If you wish to see this capability added, please submit an enhancement request on a bug report form for consideration. -- ROGER B.A. KLORESE MIPS Computer Systems, Inc. phone: +1 408 720-2939 928 E.
