I remember an earlier discussion regarding DEC's "unsupported" version of SLIP, wherein it only supports a single line. We're having this problem now (Ultrix 3.1), and of course I wasn't paying close enough attention while the discussion was going on. Changing the config file to increase the number of units does not seem to help; apparently DEC has one or more modules hardcoded to allow just a single line. We need a working SLIP soon. If you know how to make DEC's SLIP work with more than one line, please let me know. If you know of any other version of SLIP which works under Ultrix 3.1 (VAX and/or MIPS CPUs), that would be great too. We don't care which way we get it, we just need it working. Thanks in advance for any help. -- Mike Bryan, Applied Computing Devices, 100 N Campus Dr, Terre Haute IN 47802 Phone: 812/232-6051 FAX: 812/231-5280 Home: 812/232-0815 UUCP: uunet!acd4!mjb INTERNET: mjb@acd4 OR mjb%acd4@uunet.uu.net "Agony is born of desire; that's what you get for wanting." --- Moev -- Mike Bryan, Applied Computing Devices, 100 N Campus Dr, Terre Haute IN 47802 Phone: 812/232-6051 FAX: 812/231-5280 Home: 812/232-0815 UUCP: uunet!acd4!mjb INTERNET: mjb@acd4 OR mjb%acd4@uunet.uu.net "Agony is born of desire; that's what you get for wanting." --- Moev
