After working for a few months, our LPSCHED has deceided to cease functioning. Here are the details: M120-5, UMIPS.4_0 Apple LaserWriter II on tty3 As I said, it all worked fine until sunday. Now, all print requests result in an error message from lp: > Message 1: > From lp Tue Mar 27 15:40 EST 1990 > Status: RO > > error code 1 in request Photon_Torpedo-3667 on printer Photon_Torpedo Rebooting the system, diasbling/re-enabling the scheduler, etc. all don't help. The printer is getting something each request, as the activity light flashes and then stops. A status display results in : > scheduler is running > system default destination: Photon_Torpedo > members of class weapons: > Photon_Torpedo > device for Photon_Torpedo: /dev/tty3 > Photon_Torpedo accepting requests since Sep 12 17:45 > printer Photon_Torpedo (login terminal) is idle. enabled since Mar 27 12:32 Copying a file directly to the device works to get a printout (cp file_name /dev/tty3) Does anyone know what error code 1 is ? How about why lpsched has ceased working ? Thanks. Tim P.S.
