I am wondering if anyone out there has built GNU gcc (version 1.37.1) on the MIPS M/2000 under Risc/os 4.02. I have given it a go and have failed. The INSTALL file says that the MIPS has been ported to but I have had to make a few changes to even get gcc to compile under the MIPS' native cc compiler. Beyond that things fall over drastically. The MIPS belongs to a separate department here at Nottingham and I haven't used the machine before trying to build gcc on it. I have read through the MIPS porting guide though to no avail. I have built the same version of gcc successfully on Sun-3s. If people want to email details on how they got gcc to build on the MIPS directly to myself I will summarise to the net. I intend to build g++ 1.37.1 and gdb 3.5 on the MIPS as well so if anyone has any help to give on those products it would be appreciated. +--------------------------------------------+--------------------------------+ | K.Hopkins%cs.nott.ac.uk@nsfnet-relay.ac.uk | Kevin Hopkins, | | or ..!mcsun!ukc!nott-cs!K.Hopkins | Department of Computer Science,| | or in the UK: K.Hopkins@uk.ac.nott.cs | University of Nottingham, | | CHAT-LINE: +44 602 484848 x 3815 | Nottingham, ENGLAND, NG7 2RD | +--------------------------------------------+--------------------------------+ Kevin Hopkins.
