We are looking to integrate a Write-Once-Read-Multiple (WORM) optical disk system onto our mips rs2030 and Magnum systems. We will be using the disk as archives for our application and are willing to write the required software for reading/writing data in our own format by accessing the disk as a raw SCSI device. What I need to know is, what if any, support is available from mips RISCos 4.10 for WORM drives: - removable media, locking/unlocking media in the drive - issuing specific SCSI commands from application code (we do not want to write a device driver) All help would be appreciated -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Marc H.
