Hello one and all. Please bear with me... I am in the market for a new workstation (my current one, a MacII(fx) running A/UX 2.0 is getting kinda saturated) and one of my prospects is the Magnum. This baby got rave reviews from Unix Review, but I need more info, especially the kind that users can provide. 1st of all, unfortunately, I still want to be able to access my LaserWriter for hardcopy AND keep the LW on AppleTalk (i.e. I want to maintain AppleTalk for the sole purpose of using the LWII). Is this possible? Does the Magnum have support for (or are there 3rd party solutions for) AppleTalk communication and print spooling? My other question is quite simple... does the Magnum provide ksh (the Korn shell) or, at least, is it available. Finally, I would GREATLY appreciate any and all comments and insights about the Magnum especially from users (of course, comments from MIPS are most welcome too :). E-mail would be prefered, but if you can't get me, then post to the net (the IP-address for jagmac2 is 128.183.44.1) Thanks again... -- ======================================================================= #include <std/disclaimer.h> =:^) Jim Jagielski NASA/GSFC, Code 711.1 jim@jagmac2.gsfc.nasa.gov Greenbelt, MD 20771 "Kilimanjaro is a pretty tricky climb.
