HELP !!! I'm trying to install a hard disk to a MIPS RS3230. This machine has already 2 internal disk drives. The new disk is already formated and has a capacity of 326MB. It's a bit confusing the way the MIPS manuals explain how to do it. First of all the disk that I got is not one of the ones that are in the file /etc/disktab. What should I do in this case? should I add it to this file? The disk is being connected to the SCSI port; but what is the file that drives this port? In the manual says that I should use prtvtoc in order to find the device features but I couldn't find what I want ( Ican read the two internal disk features) at this point I cannot use newfs.ffs because I don't know the device file. I try to see all the possible files in /dev/dsk and /dev/scsi but no success. If somebody has some experience in this matter, please let me know what I should do. Thanks, Jose Delgado delgado@bingvaxu.cc.binghamton.edu
