Hi Net, Just want to get some opinions from people in this news group: Does anybody know if a MIPS M/1000 still worth anything nowadays? Does MIPS still provide hardware/software support for it? Is there any software vendor still supporting this CPU at all? Any comments and suggestions are welcome. Release 4.50 and its children (4.51 is out now, 4.52 is scheduled for around New Year's) will be the last releases for the M/1000 which will add new functionality. We continue to provide hardware and software support for the M/1000. All applications software which is compatible with RISC/os 4.50 should run fine on the M/1000. Mips intends to continue to support the M/1000 with release 4.5x software for several years; contact your local sales office for detailed support commitments. -- ROGER B.A. KLORESE MIPS Computer Systems, Inc.
