When we upgraded our M/2000 from 4.01 to 4.51 RISC/OS we noticed an intermittent problems with ftpd. Sometimes when you try to get a file or directory listing the following error occurs:_ ftp> ls 425 Can't build data connection: Interrupted system service. ftp> The frequency of the problem is higher if the delay is higher - ie, You almost never see it locally but almost always on a trans-pacific hop. If anyone wants to try it just try anon ftp to extro.ucc.su.oz.au. Interestingly, our M/120 has the same problem but a Magnum in another department seems to work.
