[comp.sys.mips] getopts

bruce@cs.su.oz (Bruce Janson) (01/24/91)

Our MIPS boxes running RISC/os 4.51 appear to have lost
getopts(1) (while still retaining its online manual entry).
This is odd because getopts(1) is (apparently) intended to
replace getopt(1) at some future date, but /usr/bin/getopt
is still present.

Did getopts(1) just fall off our distribution tape(s) or
is this a global effect?

Cheers,
bruce.

Oops, sorry, ignore that -- I now realise it's a builtin command
of the distributed /bin/sh.
