[comp.sys.mips] L1-A equiv on a Mips?

fab9452@jupiter.tamu.edu (Allan Bailey) (05/21/91)

Is there an equivilent keyboard sequence to the Sun "L1-A" sequence
to bring a Mips down to the monitor level?

If not, then what would you do with a hung machine? (other than
cycling the power.)

  I have a RS2030, btw.

thanks,

Cntrl-Alt-Del
but it's rather violent powerdown. Use only if anything else fails.

You can use Ctl-Alt-Del. This is not exactly the same as L1-A on the
Sun's. Instead of just dropping you to the prom, from which you can
resume if you want, it does (I think) the same as doing 'init' at the
prom prompt. At least you don't have to cycle power on a hang.
