With one of the less elaborate predecessors of rn, there was a simple
command which would read all news items to the bit bucket--the
equivalent of marking them all as read. This was a handy thing to do
on coming back from vacation. Is there any equivalent technique with
rn?

I have already received two pieces of mail telling me about the 'c'
key. I know about the 'c' key; have been using it for five years.
What I want is a command or script that will apply 'c' automatically
to all newsgroups to which I subscribe.
Thanks anyway to the folks who wrote to me.
