Now here's a question: Suppose I was going to (say) germany, and wanted to get some contacts there before I went; There's very little point in my sending this message out to people in england: what I want is *just* people in germany to see it. I t seems a bit wasteful to me to put a dist. of "eunet" when I'm only sending to one country. So I've been wondering: can you actually do this, i.e. give a posting a distribution of which you yourself are not actually a part? I can think of two possible options: 1) it works - the message is relayed to the right domain, and then is distributed, or 2) the next news relay up the pipe kills the posting 'cos it sees it's not for it. Anyone know what happens? anyone know a kludge to do this? Besides, if people knew how to do this, it might stop the "Do you know how many thousand bucks you just spent" brigade from using up all the bandwidth..... &ndy Holyer JANET: and@uk.ac.lon.rfhsm.ux Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine, eunet: mcvax!ukc!r-free!and Hampstead, London England #include <disclaimer.h> "Try anything once - except Incest and folk dancing" - George Bernard Shaw
