How can you get someone banned from the net?

Surgical nuclear strike.

Make an important discovery that everyone wants to talk about.

I don't know who he is either.

Ask the net readers to cover their eyes while reading your message.

I don't know.

Apparently, nothing.

Who cares?

Why not?

You can't. Sounds like a pretty rotten thing to do anyway.

I'm not sure who 'Dennis Richly' is but Dennis M. Ritchie is one of
creators of the C language. (Along with Brian W. Kernighan)

How fleeting is fame.

Dennis Ritchie, along with Ken Thompson, also invented Unix.

The better thing to do, my friend, is to use that wonderful and
fascistically efficient thing known as the KILL FILE.

The kill function, at least on my reader (nn), can kill by the name of
the poster as well as by subject, and can be set as a permanent fixture.

So if someone is really bugging you, instead of going to all the pain
and anguish of getting him banished off the net, simply banish him from
your own newsfiles by putting a permanent kill by user name in your
kill file.

If this guy is really deserving of such drastic action, then everyone
else will also put him or her in a prominent place in their kill files,
and the person in question will find that his postings somehow never get
answered......

This is known as banishment by attrition.
