Two questions: 1. I use the 's' option to save files to disk when reading news. It takes forever! (It is not the speed of my system, for vnews saves almost instantly, even on very large articles). How can I speed this up? What code do I need to change? 2. I wish to use a macro to save files in the comp.sources.* news groups. I wish to save the file using the 'Archive-name:' prompt, and save the file to the name that is placed after that prompt. It would be nice if that same macro could make the directory, if there is one, and to check that the file is new, and not appending to one previously saved.
