I understand that it is possible to FTP old postings from archives somewhere. Could someone please point me in the direction of such (and, if necessary, provide directions)? Thanks. -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------ suzy marie mercer suzy@tank.uchicago.edu ....!uunet!mimsy!oddjob!tank!suzy ------------------------------------------------------------------------

There are many archives of these, each of which specialize in
different newsgroups. Some newsgroups are not, as far as I know,
archived anywhere.
You might want to ask on the newsgroup you are interested in or
in comp.misc where the archives may be. If the newsgroup is
moderated, you might want to ask the moderator.
Also, some of the archives in the comp.archives database have
newsgroups; to find out more, send the following message to
comp-archives-server@twwells.com
path suzy@tank.uchicago.edu
send help
send index
(If you aren't suzy@tank.uchicago.edu, substitute your own e-mail
address in the "path" line.)
