[news.newusers.questions] How to uudecode a file?

finn@mojo.UUCP (Finn Markmanrud) (10/19/89)

I have seen a few .gif images and some utlities posted on the
net that require to be decoded using uudecode. This command
is not available on our system. Is this a Xenix(tm) command?
If there is some other command vailable in Unix(tm), I'd like
to know. Maybe I can just put uudecode.com on our system, and
it'll work? Any help on how to get to these files would be deeply
appreciated.

Have you a C compiler? If so, I can send you source. It is a small
program.
