(1) Contacting the poster's boss is outrageous. Regardless of how
distasteful the posting may have been (as the father of
three small children, I find child abuse a highly distasteful
subject for jokes), jeopardizing the person's job is
unacceptable.
(2) Email to the poster is fine ... you have as much right to
complain as the poster did to post. But I hope your email
acknowledged the possibility of the posting having been a
forgery.
